Septic tank system distribution box

 What is a septic system distribution box (D-Box) and what does it do? The distribution box basically takes all the overflow (or as much as can be handled) from the system and distributes it evenly throughout your leachfield or drainfield. The box is roughly the size of large cinderblock, normally constructed of concrete and is water tight. See Below:
