"Shocking" the water, a maximum
concentrated amount of powerful bacterial enzymes are dispersed throughout
the
entire system in order to quickly break down buildup at a much more aggressive
rate than with a maintenance treatment. Shock Treatments: Regular Shock: Week1: Begin by mixing roughly 3 pounds per surface acre with 5 gallons lake or pond water and distribute evenly around shoreline areas. The remaining 2 pounds of NT-MAX product should be evenly distributed across the total water surface area. Week2: Repeat "week1". Week3: Repeat "week1" treatment and maintain monthly with 1 to 2 pounds per acre coverage area until water temperature drops below 50 degrees. NT-MAX powder can be diluted with lake or pond water or slowly "poured as you go" for easy distribution. Super Shock: Week1: Begin by mixing roughly 8 pounds per surface acre with 20 gallons lake or pond water and distribute evenly around shoreline areas. The remaining 2 pounds of NT-MAX product should be evenly distributed across the total water surface area. Week2: Repeat "week1". Week3: Repeat "week1". Week4: Repeat "week1" treatment and maintain monthly with 1 to 2 pounds per acre coverage area until water temperature drops below 50 degrees. NT-MAX powder can be diluted with lake or pond water or slowly "poured as you go" for easy distribution. *Please Note: NT-MAX Digests dead Algae and Duckweed and should be diluted with pond or lake water only. Chlorine in tap water can affect the bacterial strains and inhibit digestion. Any accessible shoreline leaves and twigs should be removed prior to treatment. Heavier NT-MAX/Water dilution is recommended to assure thorough coverage. It is better to over-dilute and re-treat areas than to under treat your full surface area. |
